A die buyoff normally confirms that the tooling matches the approved design scope, operates safely on an agreed press, produces reviewable samples and includes the required technical documents. Depending on the customer standard, the process may also include a continuous run, dimensional reports, spare-parts verification, maintenance information and formal closure of engineering changes or open items.

A stamping die run-at-rate review is used to observe whether the tooling can operate repeatedly under agreed trial conditions. It may reveal issues that are not visible during isolated strokes, including unstable feeding, scrap accumulation, sensor interruption, heat-related clearance change, lubricant variation or progressive wear.
There is no universal run duration or stroke count suitable for every die. The test speed, quantity, material, lubrication and inspection interval should be agreed according to the die type, expected production method, available press and customer tooling standard. Changdong does not apply an unsupported fixed stroke commitment to every project.
Changdong has 45T–800T press capacity for suitable die tryout and sample validation. When the destination press, feeder, transfer system, lubrication method or automation layout cannot be fully reproduced in-house, final production approval may still require verification on the customer's actual production line.
Die buyoff should use inspection evidence that matches the part geometry and drawing requirements. Changdong can support appropriate inspection methods such as CMM, 2D optical measurement, 3D optical scanning and checking fixtures, depending on the feature, part size and agreed project scope.
Selected dimensions, datums, profiles, holes and functional features are measured according to the approved inspection scope.
Tooling condition, sample stage, correction status and relevant observations can be recorded for project review.
Remaining engineering, document or tooling items should be assigned a status before shipment approval.
A supplier cannot create one internal checklist and assume that it replaces the customer's tooling standard. Automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, appliance manufacturers and industrial buyers may use different requirements for run duration, reports, spare parts, sensors, safety and documents.
The buyoff checklist should therefore be reviewed early in the project, not introduced only after the die is completed. Early confirmation allows tooling design, purchased components, inspection planning and final documents to be prepared for the actual acceptance scope.
Changdong was founded in 2012 and operates an approximately 4,000 m² factory with more than 80 employees. Die design, machining, assembly, tryout correction and sample inspection can be coordinated within one project. A typical T0 sample timing is about 35 days after final drawings and technical requirements are confirmed, while final buyoff timing depends on correction rounds, reports and customer acceptance requirements.

Changdong manufactures custom stamping dies and stamped parts. It does not provide one universal buyoff standard, guarantee a fixed run-at-rate result for every project or sell stamping press machines.
The criteria should be agreed between the customer and tooling supplier. They may be based on the customer tooling standard, approved drawings, press conditions, sample requirements and project contract.
Not every project uses the same run-at-rate requirement. The need, speed, duration, material quantity and acceptance conditions should be defined according to the die type and customer standard.
Changdong can review customer press and feeder information and use suitable in-house 45T–800T equipment for tryout. Final production-line verification may still be required when the destination setup cannot be reproduced.
Depending on the agreed scope, documents may include die drawings, BOM, dimensional reports, sample status, spare-parts information, maintenance notes and tooling photographs.
It should be provided during RFQ or before final tooling design whenever possible. Late requirements may affect design, purchased components, testing, documentation and delivery timing.
