A stamping die project goes through multiple technical and manufacturing stages. Changdong applies quality control throughout the process instead of relying only on final inspection.
Part drawings, 3D data, material grade, tolerance requirements, and inspection standards are reviewed before tooling design.
Die plates, inserts, punches, guide components, and forming surfaces are checked during CNC machining, wire cutting, grinding, and fitting.
Die assembly, fitting condition, press matching, feeding stability, trimming quality, and forming performance are checked during tryout.
Trial samples and tooling conditions are inspected before tool shipment to reduce risk after the die arrives at the customer site.
Before shipment, Changdong uses different checking lists according to die type and application. OA tooling, automotive tooling, single operation dies, and progressive dies may require different checking points because their structures, tryout conditions, and production risks are different.
The shipment checklist helps confirm key items such as die size, press tonnage requirement, layout size, feeding height, punch and die thickness, insert fitting, guide post condition, trimming and piercing status, spring condition, scrap removal, lubrication, safety requirements, and special customer requirements.
A stamping die may pass basic tryout, but shipment checking helps verify whether the die is ready for transportation, customer installation, and future production. This reduces avoidable issues such as missing components, poor lubrication, sharp edges, loose inserts, unclear markings, or incomplete customer-specific requirements.
