This stamping press line includes five medium-tonnage press machines arranged in one row: three 160T press machines, one 200T press machine and one 260T press machine. The press line supports metal stamping die tryout, prototype stamping, process verification and small-batch production for sheet metal stamping projects.
For a stamping die manufacturer, press capability is important because die performance cannot be judged only from design and machining. The tool must be tested under real press conditions to verify feeding, forming, trimming, piercing, burr control and stamped part dimensional stability.
Used for medium and smaller sheet metal stamping parts, prototype verification and die adjustment.
Supports larger forming load, higher rigidity requirements and progressive die tryout work.
Provides additional press capacity for thicker material, deeper forming or larger stamped parts.
Helps validate stamping dies before delivery or before moving into stable production.
This 160T, 200T and 260T stamping press line is used for testing and producing metal stamping parts after the stamping die has been assembled. It helps confirm whether the die can run correctly under press conditions, including material feeding, forming stability, cutting quality, hole accuracy and part dimensions.
Medium-tonnage press machines are widely used in stamping die tryout because many automotive, appliance, electrical and industrial sheet metal parts do not require extremely large presses, but still need enough forming force, press stability and die installation space.
A press line with 160T, 200T and 260T machines gives the tooling team more flexibility. Engineers can select a suitable press according to die size, material thickness, forming load, part geometry and tryout objective.
Press tonnage should not be selected only by part size. Material thickness, drawing depth, bending length, cutting perimeter, forming resistance and die structure all affect the required press capacity. A proper tryout press helps avoid misleading sample results and reduces adjustment risk before production.
| Press Type | Quantity | Typical Use | Project Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| 160T Press Machine | 3 units | Small and medium sheet metal parts, prototype stamping and progressive die tryout | Flexible scheduling for repeated tryout and sample runs |
| 200T Press Machine | 1 unit | Medium-sized dies, higher forming load and more stable press testing | Supports tooling verification beyond smaller press capacity |
| 260T Press Machine | 1 unit | Larger or more demanding stamped parts, forming and trimming validation | Provides more capacity for thicker material and larger tooling requirements |
In stamping die manufacturing, the press line is part of the validation process. After CNC machining, WEDM cutting, grinding, assembly and fitting, the stamping die must be tested on a press to confirm that the actual stamped part matches the design intent.
The assembled die is installed on a suitable press machine to check opening height, shut height, feeding path, die protection and basic press movement.
The first stamped samples are produced to evaluate part shape, forming stability, burr condition, hole accuracy and trimming edge position.
Engineers adjust forming areas, trimming inserts, piercing punches, pilots or blank holder conditions based on sample results.
Stamped samples can be checked through visual inspection, dimensional measurement, CMM inspection or 3D scanning depending on project requirements.
The 160T to 260T press range is useful for many medium-sized sheet metal stamping parts. It can support die tryout and sample production for automotive, appliance, electrical and industrial components where stable forming and repeatable dimensions are required.
Changdong can support stamping die design, machining, assembly, press tryout and sample validation for progressive dies, transfer dies, prototype dies and custom metal stamping tooling projects.
